    “In a recent Juke Box Jury in the States,” said her husband Tony Aquaviva, who is the musical director of the Symphony of the Year, “Joni (James) held out against the rest of the panel about one number which they condemned and within two weeks it was right at the top.” She was said to be the first pop singer to appear at Carnegie Hall with a full symphony orchestra.
